The General Transatlantic Company, shipowner in Caribbean cabotage, first title in the collection Documents from the young publisher Scitep, has just been published. Its author, Roger Jaffray, was an officer in the merchant navy and then a maritime affairs administrator from 1960 to 1988, including fifteen years in the Antilles and Guyana. He has lived in Martinique since 1988, from where he continues to follow the evolution of local maritime life. As for me, I had the honor and pleasure of creating the cover of this book in watercolor.
